Instructions
- Prepare your workspace by lightly coating a baking sheet with cooking spray or oil.
- Combine granulated sugar, corn syrup, and water in a medium saucepan, stirring gently.
- Place the saucepan over medium heat, watching the sugar dissolve and stirring occasionally.
- Attach the candy thermometer to the side of the saucepan, and heat until it reaches 300°F (hard crack stage).
- Remove the saucepan from heat, being cautious of the hot syrup.

- Pour the syrup onto the prepared baking sheet, spreading it evenly.
- Allow the candy to cool completely at room temperature.
- Break the hardened candy into pieces.
