No reviews

A simple, hands-on art activity that turns a fizzy baking soda and vinegar reaction into colorful designs on paper. Fun for kids and adults alike!

Ingredients

  • Baking soda
  • Vinegar
  • Food coloring
  • Paper
  • A tray or shallow dish

Instructions

  1. Place a sheet of paper in a tray or shallow dish. The tray will help contain spills and the fizzing mixture.
  2. Sprinkle a layer of baking soda over the paper.
  3. In a separate container, mix vinegar with food coloring.
  4. Drizzle or pour the colored vinegar over the baking soda. Add it gradually to watch the reaction spread across the paper.
  5. Observe the eruption and the colors mixing as the reaction occurs.
  6. Leave the paper to dry. When it is fully dry, the colorful art is ready to reveal.

Notes

Let each print dry completely before storing it. Keep finished artwork flat and dry, away from spills and damp areas. Avoid moving the paper while it is wet to prevent smearing the design.
