Ingredients
- High-quality glass crystal beads
- Multicolored crystals
- Butterfly-shaped beads
- One 1.5-inch colorful stone butterfly
- 20 octagonal crystals
- Six varieties of glass butterfly beads, including one large howlite butterfly
- Wire or fishing line for stringing
Instructions
- Gather and check your supplies. Set out the 20 octagonal crystals, multicolored crystals, butterfly-shaped beads, six varieties of glass butterfly beads, the large howlite butterfly, and the 1.5-inch colorful stone butterfly. Choose wire or fishing line that passes through the bead holes without forcing them.
- Choose a color scheme. Decide whether you want a coordinated palette, a bright rainbow effect, or a mix of contrasting colors. Arrange the beads on a flat surface before stringing them.
- Start with the octagonal crystals. Thread the 20 octagonal crystals onto the wire or fishing line. Take care not to pull the line sharply against a bead edge. Leave enough line at the ends for finishing and hanging.
- Add the butterfly beads between the crystals. Sprinkle in the different colored butterfly-shaped beads, alternating them with the crystal beads as desired. Use the different glass butterfly varieties throughout the strand, including the larger howlite butterfly.
- Add the 1.5-inch stone butterfly. Place the colorful stone butterfly at the top or bottom of your design, as preferred.
- Check the arrangement before finishing. Hold the strand carefully and inspect the order, spacing, and overall balance.
- Secure and prepare it for hanging. Fasten the ends using a secure method suitable for your wire or fishing line.
- Hang it in a bright location. Display the sun catcher in a window, garden, patio, or balcony where sunlight can reach the crystals.
Notes
Consider using a bead tray or shallow dish for keeping the crystals organized. Check your supplies before assembly, particularly the compatibility of the wire or fishing line with the beads.
