A calming and creative experiment that transforms white flowers into vibrant colors using food coloring or natural dyes.

Ingredients

  • White flowers (daisies, carnations, or similar)
  • Jars or clear vases
  • Water
  • Food coloring or natural dyes (like beet juice or turmeric)
  • Scissors
  • Optional: small basins or bowls for easier soaking

Instructions

  1. Gather your chosen white flowers and give them a gentle rinse under cool water.
  2. Trim the stems at an angle to help them drink up the color more effectively.
  3. Fill each jar or vase with water, nearly to the top.
  4. Add a few drops of food coloring or natural dye into each jar.
  5. Place one flower in each jar, ensuring the stem is submerged.
  6. Set the jars in a sunlit area and take a moment to breathe in the beauty around you.
  7. Return after a few hours or overnight to observe the colors that have transformed the petals.

Notes

Change the water and add fresh food coloring to prolong the life of your color-changing flowers.
