Ingredients
- Simply Soft yarn in Autumn Red — Color A
- Simply Soft yarn in Dark Sage — Color B
- Crochet hook — use a size suitable for your yarn and comfortable tension
- Yarn needle — for weaving in the ends
Instructions
- With Color A, chain 5.
- Join the last chain to the first chain with a slip stitch to form a ring.
- Chain 1.
- Work 10 single crochet stitches into the ring.
- Join with a slip stitch to the first single crochet.
- Chain 6.
- Skip the next single crochet, then slip stitch into the following single crochet. Repeat the sequence five times.
- Join with a slip stitch in the base of the beginning chain-6.
- Chain 1.
- In each chain-6 space, work 3 single crochet, chain 5, 3 single crochet. Repeat in all five chain-6 spaces.
- Join with a slip stitch to the first single crochet.
- Fasten off Color A.
- Join Color B with a single crochet in any chain-5 corner space.
- In the same chain-5 corner space where you joined Color B, work 2 single crochet, chain 3, 3 single crochet.
- Work 1 single crochet in each of the next 2 single crochet stitches.
- Work 1 single crochet in the center of the ring.
- Skip the next 2 single crochet stitches.
- Work 1 single crochet in each of the next 2 single crochet stitches.
- In the next chain-5 corner space, work 3 single crochet, chain 3, 3 single crochet.
- Repeat around the star.
- Join with a slip stitch to the first single crochet.
- Fasten off.
- Weave in the ends and trim the ends close to the fabric without cutting into the stitches.
- Check that the points lie evenly.
