Ingredients
- Worsted weight yarn (about 170 yards)
- H-8 (5.0 mm) or I-9 (5.5 mm) crochet hook
- Yarn needle

Instructions
- Make a magic ring and work 12 double crochet (dc) stitches in it.
- Pull the tail gently to close the circle.
- For Round 2, chain 3 (counts as first dc), then work 2 dc in first stitch. Work 2 dc in each stitch around for a total of 24 dc.
- In Round 3, chain 3, then work 1 dc in the next stitch, then 2 dc in the next stitch. Repeat around to end with 36 stitches.
- For Round 4, chain 3, then work 1 dc in the next 2 stitches, 2 dc in the next stitch. Repeat to finish with 48 stitches.
- For Round 5, chain 3 and alternate between front post double crochet (FPdc) and back post double crochet (BPdc) around.
- Continue alternating FPdc and BPdc for 10 more rounds or until desired height is reached.
- Finish with a round of slip stitches (sl st) for a neat edge.
- Review work for missed stitches and weave in ends for a tidy appearance.
- Consider blocking the snood for a polished look.

Choose yarn that maintains similar weight and texture for comfort in dog clothing. Be cautious with heat during blocking, the acrylic can melt.
