This easy dish soap slime uses just two main ingredients—dish soap and cornstarch—with food coloring as an optional extra. It’s a simple, hands-on activity for kids and families, and a quick way to make a soft, stretchy homemade slime.

Ingredients

  • Dish soap
  • Cornstarch
  • Food coloring (optional)

Instructions

  1. Add equal parts dish soap and cornstarch to a bowl.
  2. Mix until the ingredients form a slime consistency.
  3. If you’d like colored slime, add food coloring and mix until the color is evenly distributed.
  4. Knead the slime until it feels smooth and stretchy.
  5. Play and enjoy your homemade slime!

Notes

Store the slime in a suitable sealed container between play sessions, and keep it away from fabrics and surfaces that may be difficult to clean. Supervise children during play, and avoid contact with eyes, mouths, and sensitive skin.
