Ingredients
- Air-dry clay
- Essential oils of your choice
- A mixing bowl
- A rolling pin or smooth surface
- A cookie cutter or knife
- Wax paper
- Optional: small decorative items (dried flowers or herbs)
Instructions
- Begin by taking a moment to breathe, feeling the air fill your lungs. Open the package of air-dry clay and place it in your mixing bowl.
- Slowly add a few drops of your chosen essential oil to the clay. Focus on the scents and how they blend with the cool clay.
- Use your fingers to knead the oil into the clay. Feel the smoothness transform as the clay becomes infused with fragrance.
- On a clean surface or over wax paper, take your rolling pin and flatten the clay to about half an inch thick. Take your time, enjoying the texture.
- Once flattened, pick your cookie cutter or knife to cut shapes from the clay. Create traditional stone shapes or let your imagination guide you.
- If desired, press small decorative items into the surfaces of the stones, such as dried flowers or herbs.
- Set your stones on a tray or in a safe place to dry. Give them at least 24 hours to harden completely.
- Once dried, you may want to add a few more drops of essential oil to enhance the fragrance or personalize each stone.
Notes
Remember to store the stones in a cool, dry place when not in use and refresh their scents with essential oils.
