Creating DIY candles with wax sand is a hands-on way to turn clean old containers into personalized home décor. This project allows for individual choices in vessel selection, sand arrangement, and fragrance options.

Ingredients

  • Candle sand: Enough to fill your desired container level
  • Old container: Clean and suitable for candle-making materials
  • Wick: One wick for the bottom of the container
  • Melting pot: If using wax
  • Wax (optional): For extra effect
  • Fragrance oils (optional): For scent customization
  • Colors (optional): For appearance customization

Instructions

  1. Clean the container. Wash your old container thoroughly and let it dry completely.
  2. Melt the wax if using it. Place the wax in the melting pot and follow the manufacturer's directions.
  3. Place the wick. Set the wick at the bottom of the container before adding the candle sand.
  4. Add the candle sand. Pour the sand into the container until it reaches your desired level.
  5. Pour in the melted wax if using it. Carefully add the melted wax to the container.
  6. Add fragrance oils or colors if desired according to their product instructions.
  7. Let the candle set completely. Leave it undisturbed until it has set fully.

Notes

Hot wax handling requires caution. Confirm suitability of your container for candle-making materials before use. Follow product instructions carefully for safety.
