Ingredients
- Clear jar with secure lid
- Water (enough to fill the jar about three-quarters full)
- Glitter in various colors
- Glue (one spoonful)
- Food coloring (optional, a few drops)
- Stirring stick
Instructions
- Fill the jar about three-quarters full with water. Leave room near the top for the glitter, glue, and stirring.
- Add food coloring if you’d like tinted water. Start with a few drops and stir briefly.
- Pour in your chosen glitter colors gradually.
- Add a spoonful of glue to help the glitter settle more slowly.
- Stir the mixture well with a stick, mixing gently to reduce splashing.
- Check the movement before sealing; give the mixture a gentle shake.
- Seal the jar tightly. Wipe the rim and the outside of the jar, then close the lid securely.
- Shake and enjoy your galaxy glitter jar.
Notes
This project is decorative and should not be treated as a toy for children. An adult should secure the lid if the jar will be handled by a child.
