Ingredients
- 1 clear jar with a secure lid
- Water
- Food coloring
- Cotton balls
- Glitter
- Star stickers
Instructions
- Fill the jar with water. Leave a little room at the top so the contents can move when you gently shake it.
- Add food coloring. Start with a few drops and stir or swirl the water. Add more gradually until you reach your preferred galaxy color.
- Add the cotton balls. Gently place them into the jar. Avoid packing them too tightly; a loose arrangement is easier to achieve and allows the contents to shift.
- Sprinkle in glitter. Add a small amount for a starry effect. You can always add more, so start lightly.
- Decorate the outside, if you like. Place star stickers on the jar’s exterior.
- Seal the jar. Tighten the lid securely, then shake the jar gently to blend the contents. Enjoy your homemade galaxy.
Notes
This is a decorative jar, not a washable textile project. Keep it sealed and wipe the outside with a soft, slightly damp cloth if needed. Avoid soaking the jar or getting water around the lid.
