Ingredients
- Clear bottle
- Water
- Food coloring
- Glitter
- Cotton balls
Instructions
- Wash and dry the clear bottle. Remove any labels so the colors and glitter will be easy to see.
- Fill the bottle with water, leaving enough room for the remaining materials and movement inside the container.
- Add a few drops of food coloring. Start with a small amount and add more only if you want a deeper shade.
- Add glitter to the colored water. Use a moderate amount so the particles can still move freely when the bottle is shaken.
- Place cotton balls into the bottle in layers. Avoid packing them too tightly, as loosely arranged cotton creates a softer, cloud-like galaxy effect.
- Close the lid tightly. An adult should check the closure carefully and make sure it cannot loosen during handling.
- Shake the bottle gently and watch the glitter swirl through the colored water and cotton-ball layers.
Notes
Keep the bottle within sight during use, especially with younger children, and do not treat it as a toy for unsupervised handling.
