A whimsical and calming DIY project to create a beautiful paper bowl jellyfish hanging decoration.

Ingredients

  • 6-8 small paper bowls
  • Paint or markers (calming colors like blues, greens, purples)
  • Ribbon or string (for hanging)
  • Sharp scissors
  • Glue (glue stick or craft glue)
  • Optional embellishments (sequins or beads)
  • Optional fishing line (for floating effect)

Instructions

  1. Begin by choosing your colors. Pour paint onto a palette or use markers to create a design you love.
  2. Once dry, take your scissors and cut the edges of each bowl to resemble tentacles.
  3. Next, gently fold the top of the bowl inward to shape the jellyfish’s head.
  4. Take your string or ribbon, cut a comfortable length for hanging, and attach one end to the center of the jellyfish’s head with glue.
  5. If you want more texture, glue on optional embellishments, such as sequins or beads, along the tentacles.
  6. Finally, give everything a moment to dry completely before displaying your jellyfish.

Notes

Consider using colored paper bowls instead of painting to simplify the process. Have fun exploring different shapes for the tentacles.
