Ingredients
- Candle holder: 1, clean and dry
- Assorted dried flowers: various, fully dry and not brittle
- Glue: suitable for candle holder and dried flowers
- Decorative sealant (optional): compatible with holder, glue, and flowers
- Scissors: 1 pair
- Tweezers (optional): 1 pair
Instructions
- Gather and check your materials. Set out the candle holder, dried flowers, glue, scissors, and optional tweezers and sealant. Make sure the holder is clean and completely dry. Read the directions on the glue and sealant before opening them, and work in a well-ventilated area if the product label recommends it.
- Plan your flower design. Before applying glue, place the flowers against the holder to test a layout.
- Trim the flowers. Use scissors to cut stems and petals to the sizes you want.
- Attach the flowers. Apply glue as directed for your adhesive, working on a small area at a time.
- Check the arrangement. Once the flowers are attached, look around the holder for loose edges or crowded spots.
- Add sealant if desired. When the glue has dried as directed, apply a compatible decorative sealant if you want extra surface protection.
- Let the holder dry completely. Leave the piece undisturbed for the full drying or curing time specified by the glue and sealant manufacturers.
Notes
