Create beautiful, nature-inspired bookmarks using pressed flowers, preserving memories and moments of tranquility.

Ingredients

  • Fresh flowers (such as violets, daisies, or lavender)
  • White cardstock or sturdy paper
  • Laminating sheets
  • A laminator (or a household iron as a substitute)
  • Scissors
  • A heavy book or flower press

Instructions

  1. Select your flowers. Gently pluck them and admire their vibrancy.
  2. Prepare your flowers. Lay them on a paper towel or soft surface.
  3. Open a heavy book or press. Place your flowers between the pages.
  4. Close the book gently. Let your flowers rest for at least a week.
  5. Once dried, remove the flowers from the book.
  6. Cut the white cardstock to your desired bookmark size.
  7. Arrange the dried flowers on the cardstock as you like.
  8. Take a moment to enjoy this composition.
  9. Place the laminated sheet over the flowers and cardstock.
  10. Feed it through the laminator slowly or gently press with an iron.
  11. Cut away any excess laminating sheet.
  12. Finally, admire your finished bookmark.

Notes

Store bookmarks flat in a cool, dry place. Clean gently with a soft cloth.
