Create charming DIY Spooky Ghost Candles that brighten your space and bring the spirit of Halloween to life.

Ingredients

  • Soy wax
  • Candle wicks
  • Small glass jars or containers
  • White crayon or candle dye
  • Black marker or paint
  • A double boiler or microwave-safe container
  • Thermometer
  • A stirring stick or spoon
  • Optional: Essential oils

Instructions

  1. Prepare your workspace: Clear a flat surface and lay down some newspaper or cloth.
  2. Melt the wax: In a double boiler or microwave-safe container, melt your soy wax.
  3. Add color and scent: Once melted, add white crayon or dye and optional essential oils.
  4. Prepare the jars: Place the candle wicks in the center of your jars, securing them with melted wax.
  5. Pour the wax: Let the melted wax cool to around 150°F (65°C) then carefully pour into the jars.
  6. Let it set: Allow your candles to sit undisturbed for at least six hours.
  7. Carve the faces: Once set, gently carve small ghostly faces onto the wax surface.
  8. Trim the wicks: Finally, trim the wicks to about ¼ inch above the wax surface.
