Ingredients
- Old plastic lids (from yogurt containers or takeout)
- Colorful tissue paper
- Mod Podge or clear-drying glue
- Scissors
- Paintbrush or sponge applicator
- Thin string or fishing line (optional)
- A protective surface for crafting
Instructions
- Prepare your workspace by laying down a protective surface and arranging your materials.
- Cut the plastic lids into desired shapes using scissors.
- Tear the colorful tissue paper into smaller sections.
- Apply glue onto the cut plastic lids using a brush.
- Add the torn tissue paper onto the lids, pressing down softly.
- Seal the design with another layer of glue over the tissue paper.
- Dry your pieces completely before handling.
- Add string or fishing line at the top if you wish to hang them.
- Display your sun catchers in a window for the sunlight to shine through.
Notes
These sun catchers can be refreshed easily by changing the tissue paper designs seasonally.
