Transform old plastic lids into colorful stained glass sun catchers that bring vibrant light into your home.

Ingredients

  • Old plastic lids (from yogurt containers or takeout)
  • Colorful tissue paper
  • Mod Podge or clear-drying glue
  • Scissors
  • Paintbrush or sponge applicator
  • Thin string or fishing line (optional)
  • A protective surface for crafting

Instructions

  1. Prepare your workspace by laying down a protective surface and arranging your materials.
  2. Cut the plastic lids into desired shapes using scissors.
  3. Tear the colorful tissue paper into smaller sections.
  4. Apply glue onto the cut plastic lids using a brush.
  5. Add the torn tissue paper onto the lids, pressing down softly.
  6. Seal the design with another layer of glue over the tissue paper.
  7. Dry your pieces completely before handling.
  8. Add string or fishing line at the top if you wish to hang them.
  9. Display your sun catchers in a window for the sunlight to shine through.

Notes
