Transform used tea bags and pressed flowers into delightful hanging lanterns that bring a cozy glow to your space.

Ingredients

  • Used tea bags (emptied and dried)
  • Pressed flowers (your favorites, dried gently)
  • Scissors (to shape the tea bags)
  • Twine or string (for hanging)
  • Battery-operated tea lights (to keep it safe)
  • Glue (a brush-on or craft glue works well)
  • Optional: small decorative elements (like ribbons or beads)

Instructions

  1. Prepare Your Tea Bags: Open and empty the used tea bags, allowing them to dry completely.
  2. Cut and Shape the Bags: Trim each tea bag into a semi-circle at the top for a pleasing lantern shape.
  3. Arrange the Flowers: Take your pressed flowers and carefully place them on the front of the tea bag.
  4. Secure the Flowers: Use a thin layer of glue to affix the flowers to the tea bag.
  5. Fold and Assemble: Gently fold the tea bag to form a lantern shape and use twine to secure it.
  6. Insert the Light: Place a battery-operated tea light inside your lantern.
  7. Hang Your Lantern: Choose a serene spot and hang your lantern.

Notes

Keep away from moisture or direct sunlight to protect the flowers and tea bags. Dust gently with a soft cloth to maintain beauty.
