A heartwarming DIY project to create a charming Valentine’s Heart Topiary, perfect for adding warmth to any space.

Ingredients

  • Felt sheets in various colors (red, pink, white, or preferred shades)
  • Foam craft ball (about 4-6 inches in diameter)
  • Wooden dowel or stick (approximately 12 inches long)
  • Small flower pot or decorative container
  • Craft glue or hot glue gun and glue sticks
  • Scissors
  • Styrofoam or floral foam (optional)
  • Decorative ribbon (optional)
  • Grass or moss for embellishment (optional)

Instructions

  1. Begin by cutting out heart shapes from the felt. Vary the sizes for visual interest; smaller hearts can be layered over larger ones.
  2. Take your foam ball and gently insert one end of the wooden dowel into the bottom, making sure it’s stable.
  3. Starting with the largest felt hearts, affix them to the foam ball using craft glue.
  4. Layer smaller hearts over the larger ones, creating depth and interest.
  5. If you’re using a flower pot, fill the bottom with Styrofoam or floral foam for support.
  6. Once your topiary is balanced, apply glue to the pot and add decorative grass or moss, if desired.
  7. For a finishing touch, tie a ribbon around the dowel, allowing it to drape gracefully.
  8. Allow everything to dry completely, then find the perfect spot to display your topiary.

Notes

Feel free to mix in different materials or styles to personalize your topiary.
