Ingredients
- 100 yards worsted weight yarn, weight 4 medium, in white or ivory
- Small amount of worsted weight black yarn or black embroidery floss (optional)
- H-8 (5.0 mm) crochet hook
- Polyester fiberfill, about 1 ounce (28 g)
- Two 9 mm safety eyes or black yarn for embroidered eyes
- Yarn needle with a blunt tip
- Small sharp scissors
- One stitch marker (optional)
- Tape measure (optional)
Instructions
- Make a magic ring and work 6 single crochet (sc) into the ring. Pull the yarn tail gently to close.
- Work 2 sc into every stitch around.
- Work 1 sc in the next stitch, 2 sc in the next stitch around.
- Work 1 sc in each of the next 2 stitches, 2 sc in the next stitch around.
- Work 1 sc in each of the next 3 stitches, 2 sc in the next stitch around.
- Work 1 sc in each of the next 4 stitches, 2 sc in the next stitch around.
- Single crochet in each stitch around for Rounds 7 through 12.
- Begin placing small pieces of polyester fiberfill after Round 9.
- Work 1 sc in each of the next 5 stitches, then skip 1 stitch around.
- Work 1 sc in the next 3 stitches, skip 1 stitch around.
- Work *sl st in the next stitch, chain 3, 3 double crochet in the next stitch, chain 3* around, joining with a slip stitch.
- Fasten off, weave in the end, and add safety eyes or embroider a mouth.
