Ingredients
- 4 oz white glue (such as Elmer’s Glue)
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 2–3 tablespoons contact solution
- 2 drops food coloring of your choice (optional)
- Mixing bowl
- Spoon or spatula for stirring
Instructions
- Add the glue. Pour the 4 ounces of white glue into a clean mixing bowl.
- Add color if desired. Add 2 drops of your chosen food coloring to the glue. Stir until the color is evenly distributed.
- Mix in the baking soda. Add 1/2 teaspoon of baking soda. Stir thoroughly until the mixture is smooth and free of lumps.
- Add the contact solution gradually. Pour in some of the contact solution and mix well. Continue adding it gradually until the slime reaches your preferred texture.
- Check the consistency. If the slime is still too sticky, add a small amount of contact solution and mix again.
- Finish mixing. Once the slime pulls together and has the desired texture, knead it gently with clean hands until it feels smooth and stretchy.
Notes
Adult supervision is recommended, especially for young children. Keep the slime away from eyes, mouths, fabrics, carpets, and porous surfaces, and wash hands after playing.
