- Worsted weight yarn (weight 4, medium): approximately 380 yards (about 340 grams or 12 ounces) in Halloween colors
- Hook size: H-8 (5.0 mm)

Instructions
- Start with a magic ring to form the center of your project. Pull the yarn through the loop and tighten to about 1 inch (3 cm) in diameter.
- Round 1: Work 12 sc into the ring, pulling the yarn tight to secure it. Use a stitch marker to denote the end of the round.
- Round 2: Work 2 sc in each sc around, placing a stitch marker at the end of the round.
- Round 3: Work 1 sc in the first stitch, then 2 sc in the next. Repeat from * to * around.
- Round 4-10: Continue building the body of your project by working in the same stitch pattern, working the increases evenly spaced until you finish with 84 sc.
- Round 11: Alternating rows of dc and sc to create texture, work 1 dc and 1 sc, ending with a dc.
- Round 12: Continue the same stitches, allowing the fabric to grow and fall softly into place.
- Ending: Once your piece reaches approximately 12 inches (30 cm) in height, finish with a final round of sl st to secure any loose ends. Weave in all yarn ends with your yarn needle.
