A heartfelt craft project to create a comforting pocket hug, perfect for self-care or sharing warmth with loved ones.

Ingredients

  • Cotton fabric
  • Stuffing (polyester fiberfill or small fabric scraps)
  • Needle and thread
  • Scissors
  • Pins
  • Optional: embroidery floss or fabric markers

Instructions

  1. Begin by cutting two pieces of fabric into the shape of a heart, each about 4–6 inches wide.
  2. Place the two fabric pieces together, right sides facing each other, and pin them to keep everything in place.
  3. Starting at the top of the heart, sew around the edges, leaving a small gap for turning and stuffing.
  4. Once you reach the gap, gently turn the heart inside out, revealing the right side of the fabric.
  5. Stuff the heart with your chosen filling, ensuring it feels plush but not overstuffed.
  6. After filling, sew the opening closed using a slip stitch or whip stitch to secure your pocket hug.
  7. Optionally, consider adding decorations like embroidery or fabric markers to personalize your creation.

Notes

For best results, store in a clean, dry place and wash gently if needed. Fabric variations and personalization can enhance your hugs.
