Ingredients
- 4 sheets of orange tissue paper
- 4 sheets of light orange tissue paper
- 4 sheets of purple tissue paper
- 4 sheets of light purple tissue paper
- Scissors
- Silicone adhesive
- Eight-petal flower template, approximately 10 cm in diameter
Instructions
- Cut the tissue paper into 11 × 11 cm squares and keep the colors in separate stacks.
- Stack the tissue paper for the color you are working on and place the eight-petal flower template on top.
- Cut around the template to form eight-petal flowers, keeping the cut flowers grouped by color and shade.
- Begin with the two orange shades and apply silicone adhesive near the center of one flower, joining it to a flower in the other shade.
- Repeat the same process with the two purple shades, alternating each flower with its lighter counterpart.
- Once the adhesive has set, gently separate the flower layers to build volume.
- Prepare six garlands of the same general size: three using the orange shades and three using the purple shades.
- Fluff the petals on every garland to ensure the flowers look full and abundant.
- Hang the six garlands on a wall, door, or window, alternating orange and purple strands.
Notes
Tissue paper is flammable, so keep the garlands away from flames and ensure they are used in safe locations. Handle delicately to avoid tearing.
