A delightful decoration that adds vibrant colors to your outdoor space, perfect for a garden or patio.

Ingredients

  • Non-toxic crayons (a variety of colors)
  • A pencil sharpener or knife for peeling
  • Silicone baking molds (shapes like circles or flowers)
  • A baking sheet
  • Oven (set to a low temperature of about 200°F / 93°C)
  • String or fishing line for hanging
  • Hole punch (optional)

Instructions

  1. Start by peeling the wrappers off your crayons.
  2. Break the crayons into small pieces, around one inch long.
  3. Arrange the crayon pieces in your silicone mold.
  4. Place your mold on a baking sheet and transfer it to the oven.
  5. Let the crayons melt for around 10-15 minutes.
  6. Remove the baking sheet from the oven and let the molds cool for a minute or two.
  7. Carefully pop the melted crayon shapes out of the molds.
  8. If desired, use a hole punch to create a small hole at the top of each shape.
  9. Thread your string or fishing line through the hole, preparing to hang your creation.

Notes

Experiment with different shapes and consider adding glitter for a sparkling twist. This project welcomes creativity and resourcefulness.
