Ingredients
- Jello in various colors: According to package directions
- Clear cups: Clean, food-safe cups
- Gummy fish: Quantity as desired, added after gelatin sets
- Water: Specified amount and temperature according to Jello package
- Optional edible decorations: Edible sand or candy seaweed
Instructions
- Prepare the Jello following the instructions on the package, including the specified amount of water and any directions for dissolving the gelatin. Take care when handling hot water, keeping children at a safe distance.
- Fill the cups halfway with the prepared Jello mixture, pouring slowly to reduce splashing and leaving room for gummy fish and optional decorations.
- Chill the cups carefully in the refrigerator on a level surface until the Jello is firm. Follow the package directions for setting time.
- Once the gelatin has set, place gummy fish in each cup. This keeps the fish visible near the surface.
- Decorate with edible sand or candy seaweed if desired, ensuring all additions are food-safe.
- Keep the finished cups chilled until serving. If preparing ahead, cover and refrigerate them.
Notes
Handle all ingredients safely, and supervise children during preparation to avoid burns from hot water.
