Ingredients
- Glass votives: 1
- Colorful pressed flowers: 5-10 (adjust based on design)
- Adhesive (e.g., Mod Podge): 1 container
- Paintbrush: 1 small, soft brush
- Optional tea lights or candles: 1 (to be added after adhesive has dried)
Instructions
- Clean the glass votive. Wash or wipe the votive thoroughly so the surface is free from dust, smudges, and residue. Let it dry completely before applying adhesive.
- Plan your flower arrangement. Place the pressed flowers beside the votive or arrange them loosely against the glass without adhesive. Try different positions until you like the overall layout.
- Apply a thin layer of adhesive. Use the paintbrush to spread a light coat of adhesive on the area where you plan to place a flower. Work on a small section at a time.
- Position the flowers carefully. Set a pressed flower onto the adhesive and press it down gently. Use light pressure to help it make contact with the glass without crushing its petals.
- Continue in small sections. Repeat the process for the rest of your arrangement, applying adhesive only where you’re ready to place the next flower.
- Seal the flowers. Once all the flowers are positioned, brush another layer of adhesive over them. Take care not to drag a fragile petal out of place.
- Let the votive dry completely. Leave it undisturbed while the adhesive dries. Follow the product label for drying guidance.
- Add a candle if desired. Once the adhesive is completely dry, you can place a tea light or candle inside for a gentle glow.
Notes
Handle pressed flowers gently and avoid pressing hard while attaching them. Ensure that the votive is completely dry before using it with a candle. Follow all safety guidelines when using candles.
