Create a soothing atmosphere with a beautiful DIY Pressed Flower Lantern, crafted from dried flowers and a glass jar.

Ingredients

  • Dried flowers
  • A glass jar (mason jars work well)
  • Mod Podge or a similar adhesive
  • Brush for application
  • Tea light candle or LED candle (for safety)
  • Twine or ribbon (optional for decoration)
  • Scissors

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Flowers: Gather your flowers and press them between the pages of a heavy book for at least a week.
  2. Clean the Jar: Wipe down the jar with a soft cloth to ensure it’s free of dust.
  3. Arrange the Flowers: Lay the dried flowers against the jar to find a layout you love.
  4. Apply Mod Podge: Brush a thin layer of Mod Podge to the area where the flowers will go.
  5. Press the Flowers: Place the dried flowers onto the sticky surface carefully.
  6. Seal It: Brush another layer of Mod Podge over the top of the flowers to seal them in.
  7. Allow to Dry: Set the jar aside for a few hours to let the adhesive dry completely.
  8. Add Candle: Place a tea light or LED candle inside the jar and light it.
  9. Decorate (Optional): Tie twine or ribbon around the neck of the jar for a personal touch.

Notes

Store the lantern in a cool, dry place, avoiding direct sunlight to prevent fading. Use LED candles for safety.
