Ingredients
- 3 ingredients for slime
- Glue
- 1 real pumpkin
Instructions
- Prepare the pumpkin. Cut an opening in the top of the pumpkin. An adult should handle the knife.
- Remove the pumpkin guts. Scoop out the seeds and stringy pulp. Leave the inside as clean as practical while retaining a little pumpkin texture if desired.
- Add the slime ingredients. Pour the glue and the remaining ingredients from the three-ingredient slime recipe into the pumpkin.
- Mix thoroughly. Stir the ingredients together inside the pumpkin until they begin to combine and form slime.
- Check the texture. Continue mixing until the slime reaches the consistency you want. If it feels uneven, keep stirring before making adjustments.
- Explore the mixture. Let children observe the texture, stretch the slime, and compare it with the original pumpkin guts.
- Clean up carefully. Keep the slime away from clothing, carpets, furniture, eyes, and mouths. Wash hands and tools thoroughly after the activity.
- Dispose of the materials safely. Do not store the slime inside the pumpkin for long periods, as the pumpkin and mixture can spoil.
Notes
Adult supervision is recommended during the activity, especially when handling glue and small ingredients. The slime is not food.
