Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup of unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup of chocolate chips (optional)
  • 1/2 teaspoon of cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon of nutmeg
  • 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
  • Halloween-themed cookie cutters (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Combine the softened butter and sugar in a mixing bowl until fluffy.
  3. Add in the pumpkin puree and vanilla extract.
  4. Sift together the flour, cinnamon, and nutmeg in a separate bowl.
  5. Gradually mix the dry ingredients into the wet mixture until a cohesive dough forms.
  6. Fold in the chocolate chips gently.
  7. Roll out the dough to about ½-inch thick on a floured surface.
  8. Use cookie cutters to create shapes.
  9. Arrange the cutouts on a baking tray lined with parchment paper.

Notes
