Ingredients
- Candle wax: quantity as per product instructions
- Candle wicks: suitable for the wax and container size
- Candle sand: follow product directions for use
- Fragrance oils: designed for candle-making, use as directed
- Dye for coloring: candle dye, added according to manufacturer directions
- Molds or containers: heat-safe and suitable for candle use
- Double boiler or melting pot: for melting the wax
Instructions
- Melt the candle wax in a double boiler or suitable melting pot according to the manufacturer’s directions. Do not leave heated wax unattended.
- Once the wax is melted, add candle fragrance oil and dye as directed, stirring thoroughly for even distribution.
- Secure the wick in the mold or container, ensuring it is straight and centered.
- Carefully pour the melted wax into the mold or container, watching the wick to keep it in place and avoiding splashing.
- Let the candle cool completely in a stable position until fully hardened.
- If a mold is used, remove the candle only after it’s completely cooled. Trim the wick as per instructions, and customize the candle as desired.
