Preparation

  • Gather all materials listed for the foam dough.
  • In a bowl, combine the white school glue and shaving cream, and stir gently until well mixed.
  • Gradually mix in the cornstarch until the dough thickens to a soft consistency.
  • Divide the dough into three parts. Add red food coloring to one part, blue to another, and leave the third part white. Knead until the colors are blended.
  • Shape the colored foam dough into various patriotic designs using cookie cutters or your hands.
  • Place the creations on a baking sheet lined with wax or parchment paper to dry overnight.

Notes

Experiment with glitter, essential oils for scent, or additional textures like beads for more fun. Store leftover dough in an airtight container for extended usability.
