  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter Smooth and creamy
  • 10 oz mini marshmallows Sweet and fluffy

Preparation

  • Begin by preparing your workspace. Choose a clean, calm area in your kitchen and gather all your materials.
  • Lightly grease a 9×13-inch baking pan with cooking spray or cover it with parchment paper.

Cooking

  • In a large pot, melt the butter over low heat until it is smooth and creamy.
  • Once the butter is melted, add the mini marshmallows and stir gently until melted and smooth.
  • Remove pot from heat and fold in the Rice Krispies cereal until evenly coated with the marshmallow mixture.
  • Transfer the mixture to the prepared baking pan and press it evenly into the corners.
  • Sprinkle red, white, and blue sprinkles on top while still warm.
  • Allow the treats to cool for about 30 minutes at room temperature.
  • Once cooled, cut the Rice Krispie Treats into squares or rectangles.

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container at room temperature for up to a week. You can also freeze them wrapped in plastic wrap.
