Ingredients

Materials

  • 1 cup large plastic or paper cup (white or any light color)
  • 1 pack Red, white, and blue streamers or ribbons
  • 1 tube Strong adhesive glue or double-sided tape
  • 1 set Acrylic paint (red, blue, white) or permanent markers
  • 1 pairs Scissors
  • 1 unit Hole punch
  • 1 length String or fishing line
  • optional items Glitter or stickers for decoration

Instructions

Preparing Your Cup

  • Clean the cup: Make sure it's free of any labels and dirt.
  • Paint or Color: Use acrylic paint or markers to decorate the cup in red, white, and blue designs, such as stars or stripes.
  • Let it Dry: Allow the cup to dry completely before proceeding.

Adding Streamers

  • Cut the Streamers: Measure about 12-18 inches of each streamer and cut them into strips.
  • Make Holes: Use the hole punch to create holes around the rim of the cup, spaced evenly.
  • Attach Streamers: Insert one end of the streamer into each hole and secure it with glue or tape, ensuring the other ends hang freely.

Final Touches

  • Create a Handle: Use string or fishing line to make a loop on the top of the cup by punching a hole on opposite sides, threading the string through, and tying it securely.
  • Hang It Up: Find a place outdoors where the windsock can sway freely to catch the breeze.

Notes

Customize colors and add decorative elements for a unique touch. Consider using eco-friendly materials for streamers to make it sustainable.
