- 1 sheet Clear plastic sheet or transparency film
- 3 pack Red, white, and blue markers or stained glass paints
- 1 marker Black permanent marker
- 1 pair Scissors
- 1 item Hole punch
- 1 piece String or ribbon for hanging
- 1 brush Paintbrush (if using paint)
Instructions
Preparation
- Cut the plastic sheet into a rectangle measuring about 8 x 6 inches.
- Lightly sketch lines with a pencil to divide the rectangle into 13 stripes and a blue field for the stars.
Coloring
- Use red and white markers to fill in the stripes. Alternate colors and ensure the white stripes remain white.
- Fill in the top left corner with blue paint or marker to create the blue field.
- Once the blue part is dry, use a black permanent marker to draw or use small star stickers for the stars.
Assembly
- Use a hole punch to create a hole at the top center of your suncatcher.
- Thread a piece of string or ribbon through the hole for hanging.
