Ingredients
  

Craft Materials

  • 1 sheet Clear plastic sheet or transparency film
  • 3 pack Red, white, and blue markers or stained glass paints
  • 1 marker Black permanent marker
  • 1 pair Scissors
  • 1 item Hole punch
  • 1 piece String or ribbon for hanging
  • 1 brush Paintbrush (if using paint)

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Cut the plastic sheet into a rectangle measuring about 8 x 6 inches.
  • Lightly sketch lines with a pencil to divide the rectangle into 13 stripes and a blue field for the stars.

Coloring

  • Use red and white markers to fill in the stripes. Alternate colors and ensure the white stripes remain white.
  • Fill in the top left corner with blue paint or marker to create the blue field.
  • Once the blue part is dry, use a black permanent marker to draw or use small star stickers for the stars.

Assembly

  • Use a hole punch to create a hole at the top center of your suncatcher.
  • Thread a piece of string or ribbon through the hole for hanging.
  • Display your American flag suncatcher in a sunny window.

Notes

Try using different materials, sizes, and shapes for unique designs. Add glitter for a sparkling effect.
