Ingredients
  

Main Ingredients

  • 1 cup water Room temperature
  • 1/2 cup clear gel or gelatin Use unflavored gelatin for best results
  • as needed drops food coloring Blue, green, and yellow recommended
  • as needed pieces small plastic sea creatures Optional, for additional decoration
  • as needed spoonfuls glitter Optional, for added sparkle

Tools

  • 1 each plastic or glass containers For shaping the gel balls
  • 1 each stirring stick or spoon For mixing the ingredients

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • In a mixing bowl, combine 1 cup of water with 1/2 cup of clear gel or gelatin.
  • Stir gently until mixed, avoiding bubbles.

Coloring

  • Add a few drops of food coloring to the mixture.
  • Use blue for water, green for seaweed, or mix colors to create waves. Stir until you achieve your desired hue.

Shaping

  • Pour the mixture into plastic or glass containers.
  • If desired, place small plastic sea creatures or glitter in the mixture before it sets.

Setting

  • Place the containers in the refrigerator for 2-4 hours, or until fully set.
  • Once set, gently pop them out of the containers.

Enjoying

  • You now have your own aquarium sensory gel balls! Squeeze, squish, and enjoy the vibrant textures.

Notes

Experiment with different food color combinations and add scents using scented oils or extracts. You can also use flavored drinks or colored tonic water for additional fun.
