Ingredients

Main Ingredients

  • 1 cup Baking soda
  • 1/2 cup Cornstarch
  • 3/4 cup Water
  • 15-20 drops Essential oils (your chosen scents, e.g., lavender, lemon) Choose scents according to personal preference.
  • 1 Silicone molds or cookie cutters For shaping the aroma stones.
  • 1 Mixing bowl For mixing the ingredients.
  • 1 Spoon for mixing
  • 1 Parchment paper or a baking sheet To place the shaped stones.

Instructions

Preparation

  • In a mixing bowl, combine 1 cup of baking soda and 1/2 cup of cornstarch. Stir gently to blend the two dry powders well.
  • Gradually pour in 3/4 cup of water while continuously stirring. The mixture will start to thicken. Aim for a paste-like consistency.
  • Now, add 15-20 drops of your favorite essential oil. Mix thoroughly, allowing the scents to blend with the consistency.

Molding

  • Spoon the mixture into silicone molds or cut shapes using cookie cutters on parchment paper. Gently press down to ensure the mixture fills the molds evenly.

Drying

  • Allow the stones to dry overnight or place them in a low-temperature oven (about 200°F) for 1-2 hours. The stones should be hard when ready.

Enjoying

  • Once dried, remove your aroma stones from molds and display them around your home. Refresh the scent by adding more essential oils as needed.

Notes

Customize scents by mixing different essential oils, add natural food coloring or mica powder for visual appeal, or experiment with adding dried flowers or herbs into the mixture. These aroma stones can also make great gifts packaged with a note.
