Ingredients
Base Ingredients
- 1 cup baking soda Main ingredient for aroma stones.
- 1/2 cup cornstarch Provides texture.
- 3/4 cup water To combine the dry ingredients.
Flavoring and Coloring
- 10-15 drops essential oils Choose your preferred scents.
- a few drops food coloring Optional, for adding color to the stones.
Tools
- 1 mixing bowl For mixing ingredients.
- 1 spoon To stir the mixture.
- 1 baking sheet To place the shaped stones.
- 1 parchment paper To line the baking sheet.
- 1 silicone molds or cookie cutters For shaping the aroma stones.
Instructions
Preparation
- In a mixing bowl, combine baking soda and cornstarch.
- Slowly add water, stirring continuously to avoid lumps.
- The mixture should be smooth and slightly thick.
Add Fragrance
- Incorporate your chosen essential oils into the mixture. Start with about 10-15 drops and adjust to your preference.
- If you’d like colored stones, add a few drops of food coloring and mix until you achieve your desired hue.
Mold the Stones
- Spoon the mixture into silicone molds or use cookie cutters to shape the stones on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- Press down firmly to ensure the stones hold their shape.
Dry the Aroma Stones
- Place the baking sheet in a well-ventilated area or a low-temperature oven (around 200°F or 93°C) for 2-3 hours.
- Allow them to completely dry before removing from the molds.
Enjoy Your Aroma Stones
- Once dry, place your stones in various spots around your home. Refresh the scent by adding more essential oils as needed.
Notes
Customize scents by experimenting with different essential oil blends. Use various molds for different shapes; consider heart or flower shapes for special occasions. Store aroma stones in a sealed bag to maintain fragrance when not in use.
