  • 2 tablespoons baking soda Easy to find in most kitchens.
  • 1/4 cup white vinegar Can substitute with apple cider vinegar if desired.
  • few drops food coloring Optional for a splash of color.
  • 1 small glass or cup Preferably clear to appreciate the fizz.
  • 1 tray or large dish To catch any overflow.

Preparation

  • Begin by choosing a clear glass or cup. Feel its weight in your hand as you place it on a tray.
  • Add about two tablespoons of baking soda to the glass. Notice its soft texture and gentle aroma.
  • If you want a pop of color, add a few drops of food coloring into the center of the baking soda. Watch it settle softly.
  • Carefully pour in about a quarter cup of vinegar. As the vinegar meets the baking soda, listen to the fizzing sounds begin.
  • Stand back and enjoy the sparkling display as the mixture erupts into frothy fireworks.
