Creating the Baking Soda Solution

  • Combine Ingredients: In a bowl, mix 1 cup of baking soda with 2 cups of water.
  • Stir Well: Use a stirrer until the baking soda dissolves completely.

Adding Color (Optional)

  • If desired, add a few drops of food coloring to the water mixture and stir.

Soaking Your Tree

  • Place your pipe cleaner tree into the solution, ensuring it’s fully submerged.
  • Tie a piece of string to the base of the tree and hang it above a plate or tray to catch excess liquid.

Crystal Formation

  • Leave your setup undisturbed for several hours to overnight.
  • Watch as crystals begin to form around the tree over time.
