Instructions
Preparation

- Form the brown pipe cleaner into a tree trunk.
- Attach the leaves to the trunk by wrapping them around.
Making the Crystal Solution
- In a bowl, mix 1 cup of baking soda with 1 cup of water.
- Stir until dissolved; a few grains of baking soda may not dissolve completely.
- If desired, add a few drops of food coloring to the mixture.
Creation
- Slowly pour 1/2 cup of vinegar into the baking soda solution.

- Place your pipe cleaner tree upright into the solution.
- Ensure the trunk is submerged while keeping the leaves above the liquid.
Waiting for Crystals
- Allow the tree to sit undisturbed for several hours or overnight.
- Crystals will start to form as the solution evaporates.
Completion
- After 24-48 hours, your tree should be beautifully adorned with crystals.
- Carefully remove it from the solution and let it dry.
