Ingredients

For the dough

  • 1 cup baking soda
  • 1/2 cup white vinegar
  • 1/4 cup corn starch Essential for the right texture

For decoration

  • Food coloring (optional) For vibrant snowmen
  • Paintbrushes For decorating
  • Googly eyes, buttons, or beads For embellishing
  • Glitter or sequins (optional) For extra sparkle

Instructions

Prepare Your Dough

  • In a mixing bowl, combine 1 cup of baking soda and 1/4 cup of corn starch.
  • Slowly add 1/2 cup of white vinegar while stirring. Watch it fizz and foam!

Cook the Dough

  • Pour the mixture into a cooking pot and heat it over medium heat.
  • Stir constantly until it thickens into dough (about 5-7 minutes).
  • Once thickened, transfer the dough to a cookie sheet to cool down. You want it warm, but not hot!

Shape Your Snowman

  • After cooling, knead the dough until smooth.
  • Shape it into three balls—large, medium, and small—for the body of your snowman.
  • Begin stacking the balls from largest to smallest to form the snowman.

Decorate

  • Use buttons for the snowman’s belly, googly eyes for the face, and a small piece of fabric for a scarf.
  • Use a paintbrush to apply food coloring for a vibrant look, or sprinkle glitter for that magical touch.

Notes

Wrap the dough tightly in plastic wrap and keep it in an airtight container in the fridge for up to a week. Customize colors and create seasonal themes.
