Instructions

Prepare the Dough

  • In a mixing bowl, combine 1 cup baking soda and 1/2 cup white vinegar.
  • Watch as the mixture fizzes and bubbles! This is a fun sensory experience for kids.
  • Once fizzing stops, stir in 3/4 cup cornstarch and 1/4 cup water until well combined.

Cook the Mixture

  • Transfer the mixture to a saucepan over medium heat.
  • Stir continuously as it thickens, about 3-5 minutes, until it forms a dough-like consistency.
  • Remove from heat and let it cool slightly before handling.

Shape Your Snowman

  • Divide the dough into three equal parts, rolling each into a ball – one large, one medium, and one small.
  • Stack the balls on top of each other to form a snowman shape.

Decoration Time!

  • Allow your snowman to cool completely and dry on a baking tray for a few hours or overnight.
  • Once dry, use small decorations to bring your snowman to life. Experiment with buttons, beads, or markers.
