  • 1 piece Tray or outdoor surface To catch runoff.

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Lay down your paper or canvas on a tray or outdoor surface to catch any overflow.
  • Ensure it is flat and stable.

Create the Baking Soda Base

  • In small cups, mix baking soda with a bit of water to achieve a thick paste.
  • Use paintbrushes to spread the mixture onto your paper or canvas in various patterns or shapes.

Add Color

  • Apply several drops of food coloring onto the baking soda paste.
  • Experiment with different color combinations for vibrant effects.

Prepare the Fizzing Reaction

  • In another container, pour vinegar.
  • Use a dropper or a spoon to carefully drizzle vinegar over the colored baking soda.

Watch the Magic Happen!

  • Observe the fizzing and bubbling reactions as colors burst and blend together.
  • Encourage kids to describe what they see and hear.

Notes
