Ingredients
  

Ornament Mixture

  • 1 cup baking soda
  • ½ cup white vinegar This will cause fizzing when combined with baking soda.
  • ¼ cup cornstarch
  • Food coloring (blue, purple, black) Use these colors to achieve your desired galaxy effect.

  • Parchment paper For lining the baking sheet.
  • Cookie cutters (star, circle shapes) To shape the ornaments.

  • Straws (optional, for hanging holes)
  • Glitter (optional, for extra sparkle) To add decoration after baking.

Instructions
 

Prepare the Mixture

  • In a mixing bowl, combine baking soda and cornstarch.
  • Gradually stir in white vinegar. Expect some fizzing!
  • Mix in food coloring to achieve desired colors.

Shape the Ornaments

  • Preheat your oven to 200°F (95°C).
  • Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • Spoon the galaxy mixture into cookie cutters on the parchment.

Create Hanging Holes

  • If desired, use a straw to poke a hole at the top of each ornament for hanging.

Bake

  • Place the baking sheet in the oven and allow the ornaments to bake for about 2-3 hours, or until hardened.

Cool and Decorate

  • Allow the ornaments to cool completely.
  • Optionally, sprinkle some glitter on top for added sparkle.

Notes

For variations, consider using different colors, materials, or shapes. Store finished ornaments in a cool, dry place to preserve them.
