  • 1 piece A small pot or container Ensure it has a drainage hole for healthy growth.
  • 1 bag Potting soil Best for planting, ensure good drainage.

Instructions

Preparation

  • Start with a clean pot or container. Ensure it has a drainage hole; this is crucial for healthy plant growth!

Mixing Ingredients

  • In a mixing bowl, combine 1 tablespoon of baking soda with 1 cup of water. Stir until the baking soda is fully dissolved.
  • Pour this mixture into the pot or container.

Adding Soil

  • Carefully add potting soil to your container, keeping a couple of inches clear from the top.
  • Use your fingers to gently pack the soil down, ensuring a firm foundation for your seeds.

Planting Seeds

  • Take your pine seeds or pine cones, and place them on top of the soil. If using seeds, bury them slightly under the soil. For pine cones, simply place them on top.
  • Lightly moisten the soil with a spray bottle or a small amount of water.

Watering and Waiting

  • Ensure the soil stays consistently moist, but not soggy. Check daily to see if your seeds are sprouting.
  • Place your container in a sunny location to encourage growth.

Notes

Experiment with different types of seeds for varying results. Swap out pine seeds for other tree seeds, like spruces or firs. Add decorative stones or moss for a charming touch.
