Mix Your Base

  • In a mixing bowl, combine 1 cup of baking soda with 1 tablespoon of corn syrup.
  • Use a spoon to blend the mixture until it’s consistent, with no dry clumps.

Prepare for the Reaction

  • Slowly pour in 1/3 cup of white vinegar.
  • Listen for the fizzing sound as the vinegar reacts with the baking soda!

Shape Your Tree

  • As the fizzing settles, use the spoon to shape the mixture into a tree-like structure on a baking sheet or plate.
  • You can create branches or a trunk. Let your imagination flow!

Dry and Set

  • Allow the tree to sit for 24 hours.
  • As it dries, it will grow in size and take on a snowy appearance.
  • If desired, sprinkle food coloring on top for a frosty effect!

Notes

Customize shapes using cookie cutters, swap materials like food coloring for glitter, and add small beads or sequins as ornaments for extra decoration.
