Ingredients
Ornament Mixture

Instructions
Preparation
- In a mixing bowl, combine 1 cup of baking soda, 1/2 cup of white glue, and 1/4 cup of cornstarch.
- Gradually add in 1/2 cup of water while mixing until you form a smooth, dough-like consistency.
Cooking
- Transfer your mixture to a saucepan over medium heat.
- Stir continuously for about 5-10 minutes until it thickens and resembles playdough.
- You’ll know it’s ready when it starts to pull away from the sides of the pan.
Shaping
- Once thickened, place the mixture on a clean surface. Let it cool for a few minutes.
- Use a rolling pin to flatten the dough to about 1/4-inch thickness.
- Use your cookie cutters to cut out various shapes.
- Make a hole at the top using a straw or toothpick for hanging later.
Baking
- Place the cut shapes on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
- Bake in a preheated oven at 175°F (80°C) for about 1-2 hours until dry.
Decorating
- Once cooled, paint or sprinkle with glitter using your favorite colors.
- Allow the decorations to dry completely.
Notes
Consider adding essential oils for added aroma, using natural food dyes, or air-drying the ornaments instead of baking. Store in a dry place to preserve them for years.
