Ingredients
  

For the Crystal Trees

  • 1 cup Baking soda
  • 1 cup Water
  • various Food coloring Choose various colors
  • Pipe cleaners In desired colors
  • A jar or container For the crystallization process
  • Small dish or plate To catch excess water
  • Spoon For stirring
  • Glitter or other decorative items Optional

Instructions
 

Create the Base

  • Twist pipe cleaners into a tree shape, forming a simple trunk with branches.
  • Bend the bottom of the tree to anchor it to the jar, ensuring it can stand upright.

Prepare the Solution

  • In a bowl, mix 1 cup of baking soda with 1 cup of water.
  • Divide the mixture into separate bowls and add different food colorings to each, stirring well.

Start the Crystallization

  • Carefully pour the colored solutions into the jar, allowing the tree to soak in the colored water.
  • Set the jar in a cool, undisturbed location where it can stay for several days.

Watch the Magic Happen

  • Leave the jar untouched for 1-3 days, watching as beautiful crystals form around the tree.
  • Once crystals have formed, gently remove the tree and let it dry on a plate.

Notes

Experiment by swirling different colors together for unique effects. Mix in glitter for a sparkling finish on your crystals. Use different shapes for exciting designs.
