Instructions
Create the Base
- Twist pipe cleaners into a tree shape, forming a simple trunk with branches.
- Bend the bottom of the tree to anchor it to the jar, ensuring it can stand upright.
Prepare the Solution
- In a bowl, mix 1 cup of baking soda with 1 cup of water.
- Divide the mixture into separate bowls and add different food colorings to each, stirring well.
Start the Crystallization
- Carefully pour the colored solutions into the jar, allowing the tree to soak in the colored water.
- Set the jar in a cool, undisturbed location where it can stay for several days.
Watch the Magic Happen
- Leave the jar untouched for 1-3 days, watching as beautiful crystals form around the tree.
- Once crystals have formed, gently remove the tree and let it dry on a plate.
