  • 1/2 cup white vinegar For the fizzing reaction.
  • various food coloring Customize colors for the rocks.
  • 1 bowl a bowl for mixing Necessary for combining ingredients.
  • 1 molds (silicone molds or ice cube trays) Used to shape the treasure rocks.
  • 1 craft paper or plastic wrap To protect the workspace.
  • optional: small treasures (like glitter or tiny toys) For hiding inside the rocks.

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Gather all materials and lay them out on a clean surface.
  • Use craft paper or plastic wrap to protect the area from spills.

Mixing

  • In a bowl, measure out 1 cup of baking soda.
  • Pour in 1/2 cup of white vinegar slowly – watch the fizzing reaction!

Coloring

  • Slowly mix in food coloring while the reaction is happening.
  • Get creative! Combine colors for unique hues.

Shaping

  • Once the fizzing settles, pour the mixture into molds.
  • If you’re hiding treasures, add them before the mixture sets.

Drying

  • Leave the molds in a dry place for 24 hours to harden.
  • Carefully remove your treasure rocks once firm.

Enjoying

  • Once dried, take them outside for a fun treasure hunt.

Notes

Mold Shapes: Use different molds to create various shapes (e.g., hearts, stars). Experiment with natural dyes for different shades. Incorporate small surprises into the rocks for excitement.
